Requirements / Qualifications

Basic Function: Under the direction of a Risk Manager, candidate will coordinate and organize the administration and maintenance of the District benefit programs: prepare and process medical, dental, life, worker’s compensation and other claims according to District, Federal and State policies, rules and regulations; justify and reconcile periodic billing statements as required. This position works independently with general supervision. In addition, this position is responsible for the coordination, organization and implementation of the District’s medical benefits program involving medical reports and other confidential information including HIPPA sensitive information and documents. Qualifications – Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in accounting, business, or related field and two years increasingly responsible statistical or bookkeeping experience involving activities related to the insurance and benefits field. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary plus good oral and written communication skills are essential A candidate with strong customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills is required. *Incomplete applications and/or those lacking current information may not be considered as eligible candidates
