Job Summary
Under supervision of the On-Site Administrator of the Monterey County Home Charter School, the Home Independent Study Teacher will serve as an educational facilitator/monitor to parents who have chosen to educate their children at home and who have enrolled them in the Monterey County Home Charter School.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: -Appropriate California Teaching Credential ---Multiple Subject OR ---Single Subject OR ---Ed Specialist credential -Possess an appropriate California operator’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicle and be insurable Skills and Abilities: -Ability to travel to off-site locations -Ability to interact with and maintain cooperative relationships with all levels of staff and the public -Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing

-Have the ability to analyze curriculum for content, depth, and correlation to State curriculum guidelines
-Willingness to develop and share materials with parents and other teachers
-Enthusiasm and a true empathy for individual student needs
-Ability to communicate effectively in the Spanish language both orally and in writing
-Special Education background
All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a third party to determine the equivalent U.S. degree and major, and the Foreign Transcript Evaluation must be attached to your application before your application will be considered.
