We have an exciting opportunity for a Special Programs Assistant III, Contract & Community Education position located at our campus in Temecula, CA. Under moderate direction of the assigned administrator, the Special Programs Assistant III performs a variety of specialized technical and administrative duties involved in the coordination, planning and implementation of programs in Contract & Community Education. Major duties include but are not limited to: developing, implementing and maintaining programs, coordinate and implement outreach and support services, assist and support faculty, faculty, students, parents, clients and staff students with a variety of activities, provide related program information, assist with scheduling and maintaining classes, seminars and workshops, provide assistance, and information to instructors regarding Community and Contract Education services, prepare, maintain and update course offerings including descriptions for community services schedule
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1) A high school diploma or GED; AND 2) Four (4) years of progressively responsible special programs experience equivalent to the duties described above; AND 3) Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff. students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, and photograph*** SUBSTITUTIONS/NOTES 1) The professional experience requirement may be substituted with on-the-job training in a general clerical assistant classification on the basis of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience for every one (1) year of special program experience cited above 2) Two (2) years of college-level education may be substituted for two (2) years of the experience requirement, on a year-for-year basis. Also acceptable is a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience equivalent to the duties described under typical activities above.
