Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED, supplemented by training or course work in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology, or closely related field. • One year of experience working with students of various age levels requiring a specialized learning environment. Experience in working with orthopedically handicapped students is desirable. • CPR/First Aid Certification approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross. •Copy of Resume - desired • Possess a valid and appropriate California driver's license and qualify for insurability with the District's insurance carrier. • Pass the NCLB – VVUSD District Exam. Application Packet: Interested applicants are required to submit the following: • EdJoin employment application • Copy of High School diploma or GED • Copy of CPR and First Aid Certification approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross. (Online course certificates are not accepted). • Copy of valid driver’s license • Unofficial transcripts reflecting course work in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology or closely related field • If you have taken the NCLB – VVUSD exam within the last three years, attach a copy of your letter indicating passing score of 75%. (Testing scores are good for three years from the original testing date.) If you are a current District employee who has passed the NCLB exam, please attach a copy of your letter indicating passing score of 75% and/or NCLB Certificate. *Please note - *We do not accept a resume in lieu of a complete application. *All document copies must be attached to your application at time of submission. *If “Record of Work Experience” on application is left blank, it will be considered incomplete.
