THE POSITION: The job of Director IV-Information Technology Services is done for the purpose/s of performing a wide scope of management and administrative duties related to technology leadership; setting the strategic direction of technology at ACOE; developing the appropriate technology policy; providing interconnection between technology services and executive leadership; and providing cohesion between State and regional groups and other K-12 entities within Alameda County. This job reports to Assigned Administrator. LOCATION: 313 W. Winton Ave. Hayward, CA 94544 TYPICAL DUTIES: Anticipates and reacts to major technology changes for the purpose of ensuring the maintenance of the technological landscape and leadership in the use of technology in K-12 education. Collaborates with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators within and outside of the county, public agencies, community members, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining services and programs. Develops strategy for use of technology at ACOE for the purpose of ensuring that all facets of technology deployment are aligned with the operational goals and objectives of the organization. Directs department operations, the maintenance of services and the implementation of new programs and/or processes (e.g. technology administration, contracts, accounts receivable, purchases, customer service, fiscal management, etc.) for the purpose of providing services within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements. Facilitates and/ or participates in aa variety of meetings (e.g. workshops, county and district committees, community and public agencies, seminars, conferences, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects required to carry out their administrative responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Job related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Education: Master’s degree in job-related area. Equivalency: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
