Custodian/Maintenance Worker 16-20 hours weekly DESCRIPTION: Under the direct supervision of the administrator or designee, the person in this position performs routine custodial tasks to maintain the school facility in a clean, orderly and safe condition. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Clean and disinfect classroom furniture; sweep/vacuum area floors; clean and disinfect restroom facilities; empty and clean wastebaskets; clean whiteboards and chalkboards; monitor, store and inventory custodial supplies; order and receive supplies, remove snow and ice from steps and walkways, Move Furniture and equipment, builds shelves, cabinets, and repairs furniture. Does major and minor repair and maintenance work. Sanitize Culinary Arts equipment.

. Pre-employment physical, tuberculin clearance, and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance are required prior to employment

Knowledge of proper methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in custodial work; knowledge or modern cleaning methods including basic methods of cleaning floors, carpets, furniture, walls and fixtures; knowledge of standards and practices of work safety; knowledge of simple record keeping techniques; make simple arithmetic calculations; ability to read and follow an assigned work schedule
