Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED, supplemented by training, experience, and/or education equivalent to one year of working with students requiring a specialized learning environment in a public school environment. If High School Diploma is international, copy must be translated to verify equivalency. • Completion of six (6) college units/courses in the field of education (i.e. child development, psychology or special education.) • Experience in working with students with severe disabilities is desirable. • Experience with applied “best practices” when working with students with special education needs (e.g., Crisis Prevention Institute [CPI] certificate, Applied Behavior Analysis. • CPR/First Aid Certification approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross. • Other certificates of training in areas associated with responsibilities. • Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License. • Pass the NCLB -VVUSD District Exam. *Please note - *We do not accept a resume in lieu of a complete application. *All document copies must be attached to your application at time of submission. *If “Record of Work Experience” on application is left blank, it will be considered incomplete.
