Job Title: CTE Teacher Location: School for Entrepreneurship and Technology High School Charter (San Diego, CA) School Website: www.sethigh.org Position Overview: S.E.T. High School Charter is seeking a passionate and dedicated CTE Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage high school students in the study of history, civics, economics, and related fields, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for learning. This position requires a dynamic individual committed to creating a supportive and innovative classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging curricula aligned with state standards. - Teach a variety of social science subjects computers and engineering - Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry. - Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth. - Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to promote interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives. - Incorporate technology and project-based learning to enhance instruction. - Maintain open communication with parents, students, and colleagues. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in CTE or a related field - Valid California Teaching Credential - Strong communication and classroom management skills. - Experience working with diverse student populations and differentiating instruction. JOB DESCRIPTION

Teaches one or more subjects to students in public secondary school by performing the following duties:

Instructs students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations. Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of the state and school. Assigns lessons and corrects homework. Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress. Keeps attendance records. Maintains discipline in the classroom. Meets with parents to discuss student progress and problems. Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops. May perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more activities or student organizations. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and completion of fifth-year college or university teaching credential program.

CERTIFICATES
