Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, Student Services (or designee), organizes and directs the operations and activities involved in the development and implementation of behavior management and intervention programs, plans, and strategies for all students according to established methodologies and procedures. Provides consultation, training, modeling, and direct support to administrators, classified and certificated staff, service providers, and families concerning behavioral strategies, interventions, and programs. Coordinates communication, information, resources, and staff development activities to meet student needs and to enhance the academic effectiveness of behavioral programs and services.
Requirements / Qualifications
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Education: Master’s Degree in psychology or special education, successful completion of all coursework and fieldwork that meets the requirements set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), and passage of the State BCBA Certification Examination. Experience Required: Three (3) years or more of successful experience as a teacher or psychologist, or comparable private sector experience, in which evidence exists of the applicant using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) while working with students on the autism spectrum, identified with an emotional disturbance, and/or exhibiting behavior challenges. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Testing Required: Valid California Class C driver's license and evidence of insurability, TB test clearance, pre-employment physical and drug testing clearance, Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance; possession at time of employment of a Behavior Analyst graduate certificate.
