About the Employer
Hemet Unified School District is one of the largest geographic areas of any district in California. It covers over 650 square miles of very diverse topography; from valley flatlands to foothills to mountains. It serves a growing community with a current enrollment of nearly 21,000 students. Preschool centers at nine school locations, eleven elementary schools (K-5), three elementary/ middle schools (K-8), four middle schools (6-8), four comprehensive high schools (9-12), one continuation high school (11-12), a science-based charter Middle/High School (6-12), an Adult Education Center, Independent Study Programs, a Home School Program, and a self-paced online instruction program offer a wide variety of learning opportunities for students of all ages. - Select, Lead and direct coaching staff
- Direct and manage all phases of the girl’s basketball program including in-season, off-season, summer, budgeting, inventory, tournament and public relations.
- Maintain and model positive public relations with media, officials, athletes, parents, support group, and school staff and promote the policies of West Valley Mustang Athletics
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of HUSD and CIF rules and regulations and their appropriate and ethical application.
- Maintain documentation to fulfill CIF/District requirements for athletes and provide proper safeguards for maintenance/purchase of all safety equipment and related facilities
- Be a positive role model to motivate and inspire student athletes and be willing to accept challenges and successfully meet those challenges
- Place high emphasis on loyalty, honesty, ethics, integrity, and sportsmanship
- Place highest priority on student academic success and social development, in addition to athletic development, in full support of the school's instructional program and overall goals and objectives.
