EPIC Teachers provide high school level instruction to students who are age 18 and over. May utilize remote instruction from learning centers throughout the state of California, principally in the following counties: Nevada County, Riverside County, Monterey County, Kern County, Los Angeles County (Antelope Valley), Merced County, Ventura County, and Butte County. The EPIC Teacher must possess preparation in teaching a culturally diverse population using language acquisition strategies utilizing synchronous and asynchronous instruction. The EPIC Teacher must have the knowledge and ability to teach core content area classes either in an online environment, or in a self-contained classroom using direct instruction. They must also have the ability to individualize instruction according to the needs of adult learners.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree required. * Multiple subject or single subject teaching credential, or able to acquire the credential or an applicable permit required. * CLAD or BCLAD Certified, or other California Commission on Teacher Credentialing recognized authorization to teach English Learners.
