Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Director of Health Services and nursing supervision of a School Nurse, performs health services for students in regular education and special education programs within limits of licensure; administers medication and performs other specialized physical health care procedures following primary care provider’s order; performs medical assessments of students as a result of illness, injury, seizure, or other medical problems occurring at school; communicates with parents, school site, and District personnel on health-related matters; provides emergency medical care and related medical duties as required. Two years of experience in a health care setting. Experience with children is desirable. School or clerical office experience involving contact with children is desirable.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possession of a current valid California Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse certification; Possession of current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certification; Possession and maintenance of a valid and appropriate State of California driver’s license.
