Comments and Other Information

Role: • Push into the classrooms that are being created at Medeiros by grade span. If additional classrooms are opened at other sites, push-in support would be included at these sites. • With consultation from a BCBA, review BIPS and support staff to ensure BIPS are being implemented with fidelity. Train staff on implementation and supports of the BIP. • Review special factors page of students’ IEP. Develop any assistive technology or behavior supports specified for students. This includes but not limited to visuals, schedules, implementation of at devices and/or AAC/PECS is appropriately in place and staff are trained on how to support communication. • Accommodate and modify the unstructured activities taking place in the classroom with general education peers. Accommodations and modifications can be site wide or specific to students’ IEPs. This includes but not limited to task analysis, visuals, modified activities. • This an itinerant position and requires travel across multiple site support any special education students across ELOP, as needed. • Serve as support for the pilot small classrooms at Medeiros and support. • Communicate and collaborate with ELOP, BCBAs, ELOP staff, school site staff, IEP team, administration, families, etc. To help create consistency across the structured and unstructured environments. • Participate in IEPs scheduled by the student’s IEP team if ELOP-specific supports need to be discussed.
