Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Payroll Technician prepares, maintains and verifies all payroll and employee benefit records and supporting documentation. This job class is responsible for independent judgments and solving problems/questions as they relate to the District’s payroll/compensation policies and accompanying accounting procedures.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONs School district Payroll Department experience, preferably using the Escape system. Three years of increasingly responsible clerical/accounting experience, preferably in a school district. 8.0 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months per year (246 work days & 14 paid holidays) Valid California Driver License required
