The District is seeking candidates for Director, Data Analytics to support assigned schools/area and other programs. The Director, Data Analytics will plan, manage, coordinate, and implement the design, development, testing, and maintenance of a District-wide comprehensive data strategy aligned with the District’s educational and operational goals; administer and improve District data management, analysis, and reporting practices utilizing advanced data analytics to support decision-making and improve student outcomes; and serve as a technical advisor to staff. Working Location is based out of the Data Analysis & Reporting Department - 4100 Normal Street San Diego, CA 92103

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data science, statistics, or related field and seven (7) years or more of progressively responsible experience in the management and development of data analytics systems and/or related technologies. Direct professional-level experience in education data mining/analysis, including large-scale data analyses to evaluate and or present recommendations to innovative processes is highly desirable. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license.
