
Substitute Teacher Pool 2024/2025 School Year at Ontario-Montclair School District (K-8)
Requirements / Qualifications
Substitute teachers provide essential support to the educational system by ensuring students continue to receive quality instruction even in the absence of their regular teachers. In order to be considered for a substitute teaching position you must hold a substitute teaching permit or be eligible to apply with a minimum qualifications of a bachelors degree. You must include in your application proof of the sub permit or bachelors degree. If you do not hold the sub permit the Ontario-Montclair School District will support you in the application process once you have been offered a substitute position.

EdJoin applications that do not include all the required documents will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered in the next phase of the employment process. Applicants with Single Subject and/or Multiple Subject Credentials may be eligible for long term assignments. Applicants with Education Specialist Credential may be eligible for long term assignments in Special Education. See document requirements below.
