The District is seeking candidates for Food Services Compliance and Operations Administrator position to support assigned schools/area and other programs. BASIC FUNCTION: The Food Services Compliance and Operations Administrator will plan, organize, control, and direct financial and business operations of the District’s food service program; develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor new operations and program changes; serve as the program’s responsible representative for Federal and State program compliance; direct, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Plan, organize, control, direct, and lead the program-wide system of accountability, budget, and financial administration; in partnership with the Director, Food Services Department, develop and implement long and short-term programs and activities designed to develop food service programs and activities. E Develop, prepare, and manage the Food and Nutrition Services Department preliminary annual budget; monitor expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness; collaborate with the Finance department to track and analyze financial data related to food service operations. E Provide technical expertise, information, and guidance to the Director, Food Services Department regarding assigned functions; lead and oversee the formulation and development of policies, procedures, programs, and special projects; advise the Director, Food Services Department of unusual trends or problems and recommend appropriate corrective action. E Provide leadership in assessing program integrated technology needs; plan, organize, control, and direct the selection and implementation of the department-wide information technology initiatives, systems, and operations to improve efficiency and productivity. E Oversee all activities related to food service and nutrition grants, including researching funding and grant opportunities, manage grant applications and deadlines, track results/manage and document costs, complete timely grant activity reporting, and ensure internal controls are compliant with all grant requirements. Serve as the Director, Food Services Department in the absence of the Director including supervision, audit, and monitoring of departmental functions, as needed. E Assist in the development and monitoring of business plans, key performance indicators, economic trends, and resource management strategies to identify areas of inefficiency; make recommendations, develop and lead action plans; lead training efforts related to program financial operations and cash control. E Develop and oversee contracts with outside agencies. E Assist in the administration of the District’s food service and special feeding programs; coordinate and implement new feeding operations, program changes, and related service; plan and direct the implementation of summer feeding program operations. E Coordinate and lead implementation of regulatory changes and departmental participation in governmental projects. E Represent the Food and Nutrition Services Department with school and civic groups, regulatory agencies, and other public agencies. E Direct the preparation and maintenance of detailed records of department functions and activities. E Direct the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to assigned activities and personnel. E Maintain current knowledge of applicable provisions of the District auditing activities of the department. E Communicate with other administrators, personnel, and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts, and exchange information; develop policies and procedures to encourage effective and efficient management controls. Master's degree is preferred.
