We are excited to announce SRVUSD’s Teachers for Tomorrow Residency Program in partnership with Saint Mary’s College. We are seeking individuals with a strong desire to teach and make a difference in the lives of our students. We have 20 spots open for the 2025-26 school year - Program options: Special Education and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) What is the Teacher Residency Program? Teacher residents will work in one of our schools during the 2025-26 school year with support from experienced SRVUSD mentor teachers. They will gain hands-on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and student support. SRVUSD’s partnership with Saint Mary’s College will combine a yearlong classroom apprenticeship with an aligned sequence of coursework. Teacher residents will earn a credential upon completion of the program. Benefits of the Teachers for Tomorrow Residency Program: Stipend of $32,500 for tuition and expenses High-caliber mentor teachers for each resident teacher (more information to come for SRVUSD teachers who may be interested in serving as mentors) Individualized support and mentorship Guaranteed substitute work two days per week for the 2025-26 school year Priority hiring upon completion of the program $500 towards reimbursement of exam fees (RICA, CalTPA, CSET, etc.) 2025-26 Residency Info Sessions will be held: October 22, 2024 (Virtual) November 12, 2024 (In Person) December 11, 2024 (Virtual)
