Our Community School is a WASC accredited Independent Charter School located in Chatsworth, California which serves 400+ students in TK-8 grades. Our operations are overseen by a dynamic Board of Directors. Los Angeles Unified School District is our Charter Authorizer. We are seeking an enthusiastic and exceptional teacher to join our team in the role of part time Single Subject Math teacher/TOSA for 4 period schedule. Job Responsibilities include lesson planning and implementation of the CCSS for 7th/8thgrade advanced math students this includes one period of Algebra 1. Part Time Lead teacher will also provide timely communication and feedback to students and parent community on student progress and collaborate with full time 7/8 math teacher. Math instruction should be aligned to a constructivist view that considers rigor and relevance. Also, in the role of a TOSA, teacher will assist in instructional coaching aligned to the School's professional development goals in the area of math. TOSA will work alongside Cluster Coordinators to develop a cohesive implementation plan that is vertically aligned in TK-8 due to new math curriculum adoption for the 2026-2027 school year. Our Community School employees that meet eligibility may elect to participate in a benefit package which includes a choice between HMO or PPO medical plan, vision, dental and life insurance. Our Community School participates in CalSTRS for employees that meet member requirements.
