Required Documents: The following documents must be attached to the online application or your application will be disqualified: • Transcripts reflecting the completion a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited four (4) year college or university Valid license of proficiency in occupational therapy services issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy *Unit/Degree verification (including equivalency of foreign degrees) must be submitted with the online application as an attachment in the form of unofficial transcripts. Equivalence of foreign degrees must have been reviewed and verified by a regionally accredited foreign degrees review agency. Education: Must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited four (4) year college or university and have a valid license of proficiency in occupational therapy services issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. An Applicant who meets the qualifications to be admitted to the examination for licensure or certification and waiting to take the first available examination or awaiting the announcement of the results of the examination, according to the application requirements for a limited permit, may be considered for employment as an occupational therapist or as an occupational therapy assistant under the direction and appropriate supervision of an occupational therapist duly licensed. If that person fails to qualify for or pass the first announced examination, all privileges stated above shall automatically cease and the employment shall be terminated. Experience: Successful experience in planning and providing occupational therapy services in accredited schools, medical centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or similar agencies, especially to children and adolescents, is desirable. Special License or Language Skills: A valid Class C California Driver's License and use of a private vehicle may be required for some positions that require driving. For positions that drive, evidence of insurability at standard rates must be submitted in the form of DMV printout. The ability to read, write and speak a language, in addition to English, such as Spanish or Armenian, is desirable.
