The position reports to the Glenn County First 5 Commission. The position requires a dynamic and innovative leader adept at managing in highly political environments across local, state, and federal levels. The ideal candidate should excel in building consensus among diverse stakeholders and demonstrate a strong capacity for independent work. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Change Management: Stimulate and initiate organizational changes while motivating teams to improve performance and meet challenging goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and support mutually beneficial relationships with local, state, and federal organizations, as well as community partners. Policy & Legislative Monitoring: Monitor and assess the impact of legislative changes, while liaising with the First 5 Commission, county departments, and external agencies. Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Oversee the development of the Commission's budget, sharpen organizational goals, and align strategies with available resources. Organizational Culture: Strengthen organizational culture through collaboration, integrity, learning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Resource Optimization: Leverage resources through partnerships with public agencies and policy makers while ensuring alignment with funding trends. Community Engagement & Communication: Enhance stakeholder engagement through active listening and transparent communication. Cross-System Integration: Promote collaboration across child- and family-serving systems to reduce fragmentation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign equivalent university (or equivalent experience). Five years of management-level experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
