Education, Training, and Experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is a high school diploma or its equivalent, with three years of similar work experience in transportation services, including one year in a supervisory capacity; or some combination of education, training and experience that produces the requisite knowledge and ability. Previous work experience at a school district is highly desirable. Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements: A valid California driver's license, Class A or B. A valid Special School Bus Driver's Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol. A valid first aid certificate issued by an authorized agency. Successful completion of a state school bus driver training program recognized by the California Highway Patrol. Incumbents are required to pass a Department of Transportation bi-annual physical examination.
