Job Summary

The Lawndale Elementary School District is hiring a Selpa Teacher DHH for the 2024-25 school year. Certificated employees accumulate one paid sick day per month of employment. In addition, Lawndale ESD pays 100% for employee health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). Dependent coverage is at a cost to the employee. Lawndale ESD - Building Brighter Futures!

Requirements / Qualifications

This is an itinerant position working with the Southwest Special Education Local Plan Area (SW SELPA). Minimum Requirements: Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (deaf and hard of hearing), communication handicapped, or other credential authorizing classroom teaching for students in a DHH setting. CASE (Conceptually accurate signed English) required. English Learner Authorization (ELA, CLAD, etc.), Valid CA drivers license.

  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters dated within the last 12 months, no supervisor required)
