*CATEGORICALLY FUNDED THROUGH 2025* INSTRUCTIONAL COACH - MULTI-TIERED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORT (TOSA) up to 10 years of service credit (new hires); up to $ 3,000 BCLAD (Spanish) Stipend; Excellent Medical, Vision, and Dental Benefits Under the direction of the Director of Assessment, Accountability and Parent Engagement, the District Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will be responsible for the overall management of the implementation of MTSS, professional development, data collection, assessments, and intervention programs. Primary responsibilities include supporting district-wide instructional initiatives and a system of interventions that effectively work to improve achievement by addressing English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD), and mathematics. The position requires collaboration with administrators, teachers and instructional coaches in the area of data analysis and regular communication with district level administration.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING: 1. Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential including a CLAD, BCLAD (Spanish), or English Learner Authorization 2. Master's Degree granted by an accredited institution 3. A minimum of 5 (five) years of successful teaching at the TK-8 level 4. Experience in data analysis and manipulation of data required 5. Knowledge of California Common Core Standards 6. Experience in instruction using district adopted intervention curriculum.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to consistently sit for periods of time; talk or hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands and fingers to touch, feel or operate standard office equipment including technology, and reach with hands and arms; walking level surface, stand, bend and stoop; lifting objects 1-25 pounds; carry/push 1-25 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision to read and enter data into a computer; ability to distinguish sounds in transmission, speaking.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Stress of deadlines, stress of interpersonal conflict, normal work standards stress, ability to work with interruptions, concentrate for long periods of time, reading, interpreting codes, laws, policy, calculate, perform routine math processes, memorize and recall objects, people, analyze problems and generate alternatives, reconcile apparent ambiguities, solve multi-variant problems.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in an office and school campus environment
NOTE: Appointment to this position predicated upon passing a post offer physical and submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a Certificate of Clearance by the California Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and submission of required documents. Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
