MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS / AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE: See job description for a complete list of qualifications and requirements. CERTIFICATIONS MUST BE CURRENT AND LEGIBLE. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. CERTIFICATIONS: Specific certifications can be obtained by contacting various organizations. A list of possible vendors can be found on the Human Resources website under Employment Opportunities; Classified Substitute. On-line certification for First Aid/CPR/AED is acceptable.

NCLB COMPLIANCE: (If required by job description) Proof of Associate’s Degree (AA); or 48 college semester units; or proof of passing Santee School District’s Proficiency Test (certifications from other Districts are acceptable if NCLB criteria meets Santee School District’s requirements) and must be attached to your application. NCLB TESTING:(If required by job description) Applicants applying for a position requiring NCLB certification, and who are not NCLB compliant, must pass the Santee School District’s NCLB Proficiency Test. The two-hour District Proficiency Test will be given MOST weekdays, between 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, at the District Office. 3121 ALTERNATIVE SOCIAL SECURITY PLAN (FICA) (Applies to ALL NEW part-time classified employees working less than (4) hours per day) Contributions to the 3121 Alternative Social Security Plan made by the District and all new part-time employees will take the place of contributions to Social Security (FICA). Internal Revenue Code Section 3121 provides an alternative to social security as a retirement program for part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees (“3121 Plan”). Employer and employee contributions that would normally be paid to FICA will instead be directed to a qualifying account similar to an IRA (Individualized Retirement Account) or a 403b/457b TSA (Tax Sheltered Annuity) account.
