Requirements / Qualifications
Experience transcribing materials into Braille or equivalent Braille coursework is required. Valid Library of Congress Certificate of Efficiency as a Braille Transcriber must be obtained within first 130 days of employment. Knowledge of secondary math and science, as well as the Nemeth Code is desired.

Add'l Salary Info
Grade 25: $20.47 - $34.85 per hour. Salary range represents steps 1-19. Salary step placement is determined by directly related experience and education in accordance with Merit System Rule 4872.1.
Length of Work Year
School year, 180 work days per year, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
