**This is a grant-funded position with secured funding for one year, but the opportunity to renew the grant annually based upon meeting outlined standards, which the right candidate can help influence.** Under the direction of the Director of Nutrition Services, the Nutrition Wellness Coordinator will coordinate the planning, organizing, and promotion of Nutrition Services and district wellness programs. The role includes creating awareness and providing nutritional guidance to students, parents, community members, and district staff. Continued employment beyond the first-year period will depend on the availability of additional grant funding.

POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position in our Nutrition Services division. Under the direction of the Director, Nutrition Services, the Nutrition Wellness Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting the district's wellness programs and nutrition services. This specialized role focuses on the District's wellness policy, nutrition education, grant writing, and community partnerships to achieve health and wellness goals. While the Director oversees overall department operations, the Coordinator leads and supports wellness initiatives, creating awareness and providing guidance to students, parents, community members, and district staff. This position has the approximate work hours of 7:30 A.M. - 4 P.M. and is an exempt, mgmt. 40 hr/wk, 11 mo/yr position (with unpaid, calendared time off during the non school periods) with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. The District offers a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and District paid life insurance for the employee. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: •Bachelor’s in dietetics, nutrition, food science, public health or a closely related field required. •Active status as a Registered Dietician preferred. Experience: •1 yr of experience analyzing nutritional content, grant writing, or marketing is required. Exp in school food service is preferred. Licensure: •Possession of a valid Class C CA Driver’s License and insurability is required. •A valid CA food manager certification is required. Special Information: •The availability of private transportation to transport between job sites or the ability to operate a District vehicle is required. •All applicants are required to submit a recent (less than one month old from the recruitment closing date) DMV printout showing their driving records for the past 10 years.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The qualification process includes a training and experience evaluation based on supplemental responses and a structured oral interview. To qualify for the eligibility list, candidates must pass each part of the examination. Final scores will combine the weighted scores from each part. Veterans claiming credit must submit proof of status (DD214) to the Classified Personnel Commission Office with their application or before testing. The eligibility list will be active for twelve (12) months and used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Interviews The interview date will be provided at a later time. The most qualified candidates will be notified of the time, date, and location of the examination(s) via email and/or telephone.
