Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Wrestling Coach for the season. With direction of supervision for the Principal and/or Athletic Director the applicant: -- Assist in conducting practices, traveling with and supervising team -- Coach at in-season tournaments -- Prioritize health and safety of students first -- Devotion to tenets of education-based athletics required -- Previous high school or club coaching experience preferred All postings/positions are tentative and pending athletics and Human Resources approval. NO COACH IS TO PERFORM WORK SERVICES/ATTEND PRACTICES WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM HUMAN RESOURCES.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Completion of one of the following courses: “Fundamentals of Coaching” course completion certificate, Online Course, available through National Federation of High Schools (www.nfhslearn.com) or "Coaching Principles” completion certificate. Online course, available through Human Kinetics Coach Education Center (http://www.asep.com/courseInfo/purchase_courseinfo.cfm?CourseID=228&OrgID=28) * "Sudden Cardiac Arrest" course completion certificate. Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com) * "Concussion in Sports" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com) * "Heat Illness Prevention" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com) * CPR & First Aid: Evidence of current certification. MUST be recognized by American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. (Online Courses Unacceptable) * TB Test: Evidence of current negative test OR Adult TB Risk Assessment Form. * Current Driver License at time of employment.
