Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Senior Director, Services and Solutions for the Services and Solutions Department of the Integrated Technology Services Division. The Senior Director will provide overall administrative direction, coordination, and planning of data systems, services, and activities, and formulates strategies, policies, standards, and protocols for the delivery of ITS support services to internal and external customers of the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE). This position requires knowledge of advanced management of complex, enterprise-wide data systems and service and support projects, and the ability to plan effective strategies to deliver services to users. The Senior Director will also provide technical expertise, information, and assistance to the Assistant Superintendent, Integrated Technology Services, and will formulate, evaluate and implement data governance policies, procedures and programs. This is a full-time classified management position, offering a complete benefits package, and will participate in the CalPERS state retirement program.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience will be considered in place of education requirements. The Senior Director position requires a bachelor’s degree in information management systems, computer science, business administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing large-scale technology infrastructure systems and support services, including four (4) years at a management level in a large public agency. Certificates and Licenses: Valid CA Driver’s License Certification for project management, ITIL foundation certificate, and/or ITSM certification or equivalent is desirable.
