Job Summary

Job Summary

INSTRUCTION REMEDIATION FOCUS Under the direction of the Director, Student Services or Designee, assists in supporting teachers with instructional materials, strategies and resources, assists in the planning, development, and implementation of the District’s special education programs; works with teachers to ensure effective instructional practices are implemented to maximize student success; and collaborates with Principals to implement systems that create optimal learning environments for students. Performs other related work as necessary or required. This position will focus on instruction remediation to support teachers and students.

Requirements / Qualifications

To apply for the position of Program Specialist Instruction, Student Services you must meet the minimum requirements below: -Valid CA Education Specialist Credential (Special Education) -Autism Authorization (if not embedded in credential) -Valid CA Administrative Services Credential (in process of obtaining or ability to obtain credential) -Minimum of three (3) years experience teaching students with disabilities

In addition to the requirements above, you must complete the EdJoin application and upload the following documents:

  • Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts will be required upon employment)
  • Credential Copy (Detailed document from CTC [must show authorization] )
  • Letter of Introduction (Addressed to: Dr. David Appling)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Signed Letters Required - No more than 3)
  • Resume
  • Test Results/Materials (CBEST/BSR, MSAT/CSET & RICA [if applicable])

SALARY PLACEMENT INFORMATION -Salary credit will be given for previous experience in an administrative position outside of the District up to a maximum of two years for placement on the salary schedule. Upon recommendation of the Superintendent and with approval of the Board of Trustees, additional credit for previous administrative may be given. -$500.00 annual stipend for doctoral degree; -Additional salary increases are earned for longevity with MSD; -Certificated management in this position staff are paid monthly on an 12-month pay schedule (July-June) WORK YEAR -Start date is September 2024. The Program Specialist Instruction, Student Services works 205 days on a custom calendar. BENEFITS -Health benefits available to employees and their families include medical, dental, and vision. INTERVIEWS Interviews will be held in person on September 12th in the morning / Qualified applicants will be contacted via email **The District reserves the right to close the recruitment regardless of the date or length of the posting period**
