Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: * High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * 2 years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children. * Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Tutoring experience a plus, and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students in preferred.

Special Education competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. A completed EDJOIN online application is required. The resume does not take the place of a completed application. If you have experience working with small groups of students either assisting a teacher or as a tutor and have an understanding of students with special needs this position is for you.
