Requirements / Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: * High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * 2 years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children * Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Tutoring experience a plus, and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students in preferred.
Special Education competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. A completed EDJOIN online application is required. The resume does not take the place of a completed application. Must apply on EdJoin and upload attachments named exactly as stated (i.e., Letter of Recommendation) in order to be considered for this position.

The candidate will work with a student or a group of students in instructional practices, curriculum, outside activities, physical education, electives and recess. Candidates must be patient, kind, friendly, observant, able to keep good documentation, and collaborate with teachers and parent. See job description for list of duties and responsibilities.
