THE POSITION: The Director I, Behavior/Mental Health Pathways is responsible for the oversight and effective implementation of workforce pipelines into school-based behavioral/mental health positions for the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) and participating LEA’s, beginning with the Wellness Coach Pipeline Program. This includes coordinating wellness coach funding with partner districts, creating and leading programming to support wellness coaches and their mentors, and implementing deep knowledge of the career lattice to identify and remove barriers to entry for community members. This job reports to the assigned administrator. LOCATION: 313 W. Winton Ave. Hayward, CA 94544 TYPICAL DUTIES: Clearly and collaboratively articulating vision for career pathways for school-based behavior/mental health professionals. Collaborating with colleagues in business services to develop infrastructure and systems for passing grant funds through to LEAs for wellness coach salaries and mentor stipends. Managing and reporting on the distribution of grant funds and on grant-related activities. Establishing and maintaining personalized relationships and managing partnerships with LEAs in Alameda County where wellness coaches are working. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a job-related area required. Experience: Five (5) years of experience working in Pk-12 public education or public health required. Equivalency: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
