Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Children and Family Services and/or Children and Family Services Education Specialist, perform as a Coach, providing support and assistance to classroom and Early Childhood staff in implementing successful preschool programs. The Coach will be responsible for assisting classroom staff in meeting the educational services as required by Community Care Licensing, Head Start Performance Standards and the State Quality Rating Improvement System. The Coach will plan and coordinate related staff development, provide direct support to preschool classrooms and participate in other activities related to improving the academic and social-emotional success of preschool students.
Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning (BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Development (desired). Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience. Experience with children ages 0 to 5 years of age and their families in a structured setting required; Expertise in the Head Start Program Performance Standards and the California Preschool Learning Foundations; Experience with adult learners; Demonstrable experience in a leadership role.

Valid CPR/First Aid card for infants and children and valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; required upon employment.
**Please note: CLASS Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire), Six Infant/Toddler units (must be obtained within 6 months of hire), Practice-Based Coaching Training (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
