Job Posting: Learning Specialist at Tilden Preparatory School Are you enthusiastic about alternative education, mastery learning, and special education? Tilden Preparatory School seeks a dedicated Learning Specialist to join our Albany campus. We offer a supportive environment for educators who thrive on working with middle and high school students in small groups or one-on-one. Position Details: - Role: Learning Specialist and Teacher - Location: Albany Campus - Hours: Monday through Friday (e.g., 8am - 2:45pm or 9am - 4:45pm) - Pay: $33 - $43 per instructional hour + $5/hr for AP Classes - Type: Full-time or part-time Requirements: - Special Education Teaching Credential (Required) - Bachelor's Degree - Availability to work in person - Enthusiasm and positivity, especially with teens - Teaching or tutoring experience preferred To Apply: Send your resume, three professional references (email and phone preferred), and any letters of recommendation. Responsibilities: - Manage cases for students with learning disabilities - Teach courses like Executive Functioning, Study Support, and Writing Skills - Review and interpret neuropsychological evaluations - Develop and update Individual Student Support Plans - Coordinate and communicate accommodations - Monitor and support students with learning differences - Maintain confidentiality of student records - Consult with faculty on student needs - Stay informed on best practices for learning
