Job Summary
Job Summary
The Family and Child Services Specialist will support the implementation of grant-funded programs that provide direct support and education to children, families, and the community. The Family and Child Services Specialist will establish a trusting, meaningful relationship between parents, school / agency personnel, program funders, and the community. The Family and Child Services Specialist will ensure that basic family needs are met, and that parents receive education about topics relevant to improving their family function, including parenting practices, nutrition education, and others. Assessing physical, medical, emotional, and education needs of children and families will also be the responsibility of the Family and Child Services Specialist who will carry 0.5-2.5 cases per hour worked daily. The Family and Child Services Specialist will design, plan, and deliver education directly to parents, families, and the community. The Family and Child Services Specialist will also provide support and assistance to other family support staff in providing a quality program, delivering appropriate services, providing education on relevant topics and meeting district and program requirements as outlined in the contracts and scopes of work for various funding sources. Positions in this class are grant funded and positions will end when program funding ends.
Requirements / Qualifications
*High School Diploma or equivalent; *Verification of an "AA" degree from an accredited two or four-year college in Human Services Desired; *Three years of experience providing family support services directly to families. *Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required.

Daily Work Hours: 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (8 Hours; 1 hr lunch) - Some evenings and weekends required.
Work Days: 210 Days
Work Site: Family Resource Learning Center
Site Supervisor: FRLC Program Director
