Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school. Experience: Equivalent to five years of full time experience in quantity food preparation and serving, including two years of supervisory responsibility in a quantity food service facility. Special License, certification or other requirements: Must possess a valid Food Safety Certification from a nationally recognized Food Safety Program. Certification must successfully be renewed every five years. Incumbents are required to adhere to the annual minimum required training hours for School Nutrition Managers per the USDA Guide to Professional Standards for School Nutritional Programs. Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License and use a private automobile is required. Proof of current automobile insurance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to themselves or others. Standing for extended periods of time. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Seeing to read a variety of materials and monitor food quality and quantity.
