ALEFE Bilingual Childcare Center (ABC Center) is a state-licensed childcare center providing care to children ages 24 months to 17 years old with through an educational philosophy that stands on three pillars.

ALEFE is currently looking for an energetic Child Care Center Director to be in charge of the center’s daily operation including all of the record keeping, hiring, training and supervision of the staff, and enrolling new children in addition to communicating with the licensing team during site visits and to signing any licensing reports or documents.

Responsibilities of the Childcare Director will include the following:

  • The Director will be in charge of daily operation, record keeping, enrollment tracing and meeting with prospective parents.
  • Managing staff and students’ files to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Work in conjunction with the teachers in preparing required documentation for reporting requirements such as child assessments.
  • Update parents on a weekly basis and update each student's individual progress report "page.
  • Assist in hiring, training and supervision of all staff
  • Supervise all other staff members, including teachers and teachers’ aides, making sure that their job duties and responsibilities are being proficiently achieved.
  • Ensuring media release forms for minors are signed by parents and providing media materials (pictures, videos) to social media coordinator.
  • Discuss identified problems and needs with teachers and parents as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with parents/guardians in keeping with the program's goals and objectives for the children.
  • Preparing and participating in advertising efforts and community outreach events.
  • Managing and maintaining Center’s supplies inventory.
  • Managing relationships with landlord, vendors and grantors, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time.
  • Attending training, meetings and other tasks as needed.

* Four years of teaching experience in a licensed Child Care Center or comparable group child care program required; - or an Associate of Arts Degree in child development which includes 3 semester units of administration or staff relations, units in curriculum, child development, child/family and community, and two years of teaching experience; - or a Bachelor of Arts Degree in child development which includes 3 semester units of administration, units in curriculum, child development, child/family and community, and one-year teaching experience; - or a child development site supervisor permit or program director permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. * Child Care Center Director should attend 16 hours of health and safety training, including pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), pediatric first aid, and preventive health practices, including one hour of childhood nutrition, mandated reporter training, background clearances in CACI, FBI, and Department of Justice (DOJ) .
