Position Overview: Sherman Thomas Charter Schools seeks a dynamic and motivated Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the educational sector. The Marketing Intern will assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our schools, engage with our community, and enhance our online presence. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, and print. - Help manage and grow STCS’s social media presence by creating, scheduling, and posting content on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to increase enrollment and enhance brand awareness. - Design and distribute marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, and flyers—both hardcopy and digital. - Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the education sector. - Assist in organizing and promoting school events, open houses, and community outreach activities. - Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and social media engagement. - Support website content management and updates. - Assist with photography and videography projects as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience with two or more years. Knowledge or experience working in an educational setting is preferred. Strong understanding of marketing principles and digital media strategies. Proficiency in using social media platforms and tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas. Competent in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) video design and editing experience and social media content management experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
