Requirements / Qualifications

6th grade Duff LMA REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • Valid teaching credential with authorization to teach in a self-contained classroom (Multiple Subject, Standard Elementary, General Elementary) • Valid BCLAD (Bilingual Crosscultural Language and Academic Development) in the specified language OR a CTC approved emergency authorization. Desired Qualifications • Previous experience in Bilingual or Dual Language teaching. • Successful elementary teaching experience within the last 3 years.

Under the direction of the principal, the DL teacher develops and delivers lesson plans for the class and provides appropriate standards-based instruction using research-based pedagogy and district-adopted curricular materials. He/She creates a classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth of every student consistent with District goals.
