* * * POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED FOR THE 2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR * * * * * * * LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED HIGH SCHOOL CAREER TECH ED TEACHER: MENTAL/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH * * * * BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Directly responsible to the principal of the high school assigned. Career Tech Education (CTE) High School Teacher specializing in Mental and Behavioral Health Careers. The successful candidate will provide instruction and mentorship to students, develop engaging curriculum, manage laboratory activities, and foster a supportive learning environment. The position requires a strong background in psychology, mental health, or a related field and a commitment to preparing students for careers in mental and behavioral health. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Credential: Valid CTE credential or eligibility to obtain one Education: Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in psychology, mental health or related field Experience: Experience in secondary education teaching Skills: Strong knowledge of mental and behavioral health careers and industry standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and community partners DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Mental Health, or a related field • Industry working experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting • Professional certifications in mental or behavioral health (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design • Knowledge of current educational technology and tools • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
