The Chief Operations Officer reports to the Board of Directors providing leadership to all NEW Academy’s charter schools’ Principals and charter schools’ stakeholders. The Chief Operations Officer is the chief spokesperson for NEW Academy’s charter schools (N.E.W. Academy Canoga Park and N.E.W. Academy of Science and Arts). The Chief Operations Officer provides strategic, data informed, forward thinking, and relationship centered leadership for the programs and services for the schools’ operations with a purpose to support the learning, social emotional and development needs of the whole student in fulfillment of the school's mission and vision. The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for implementing the school’s operation policies, programs, services, and practices in supporting the academic achievement of all students. The Chief Operations Officer provides strategic leadership and accountability for the Principals, Facilities, Maintenance, Student Nutrition, and Safety Services. The Chief Operations Officer collaborates with school-wide leadership to research, communicate, and implement short-term and long-term planning for the Board of Directors.
