* * * POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED FOR THE 2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR * * * * * * * LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, CREDENTIALED SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHER FOR A HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL POSITION * * * * BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the direction of the school administrator and/or his designee, as part of a secondary teaching assignment, the teacher will teach one or more classes of History or Social Science or related subjects to pupils in grades 7-12. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: CREDENTIALS: . California Single Subject Credential – Social Science or Supplemental - Subject Matter Authorization - Social Science . Must meet ESEA Highly Qualified teacher requirements. . EL Authorization (BCLAD or CLAD) (If not embedded in the credential) EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in Social Science, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements PERSONAL: Appearance, grooming, and personality which establish a desirable example for pupils QUALITIES: Ability to meet district standards for physical and mental health. Must have proven ability to relate well with students, parents, administrators, and teachers. Must possess good judgment, knowledge of school and district policies, and ability to reinforce appropriate school behavior.
