POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Instructional Specialist - CTE, is for the purpose(s) of providing for the coordination and administration of preparing, writing, and processing curriculum; coordination and development with course sequencing for RCOE and district programs; assisting with RCOE and district program support; communicating information to staff; providing supervision and support for CTE instructional staff; and performing other related duties as assigned. This is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of (3) three years of successful teaching or services experience and at least (1) one year of site administrative leadership which would demonstrate exposure to and utilization of required skills, knowledge, and abilities in performing job-related duties and responsibilities. Teaching and/or administrative/supervisory experience in vocational education highly desirable. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required. Master’s degree desirable. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: -Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential and either an Administrative Credential appropriate for K-12 public school administration or are eligible to apply for a Designated Subjects Supervision and Coordination Credential -Valid California Driver’s License
