DEFINITION Under general supervision, performs specialized and difficult clerical, record keeping, and computer duties in an assigned area where experience, independent judgment, and analysis of data is required; performs complex duties in technical areas of the Human Resources Department; performs related work as required. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS Positions in this class are characterized by the independent performance of specialized work requiring knowledge of a specific aspect of the general personnel functions of the district. Incumbents organize and administer the selection procedures for employees, supervise the certificated substitute teacher assignments or input confidential information into the computerized personnel database. Incumbents are expected to analyze numerical data and prepare reports. Positions must maintain effective contacts with a heavy volume of public, staff, and/or administrative personnel.

This is an Open and Promotional recruitment. The current position is located in the Classified Human Resources Department at the District Office. THE ORAL/TECHNICAL INTERVIEW TEST IS SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 2024 The eligibility list will be valid for one year and used to fill the current open positions and used for future vacancies throughout the District during that time span. The application/interview process will result in both an Open list and a Promotional list. The Promotional list will take precedence and be used first. Final selection of appointees will be made from the top three ranks who are “ready and willing” to accept an assignment. Personnel Commission Rule 4240.1 F: When fewer than three (3) ranks of available eligible candidates remain on an eligibility list and the appointing authority has requested certification of additional eligible candidates, the list may be terminated by the Personnel Director. In order to obtain Veterans' preference of 5 points, service must be in accordance to Personnel Commission rule 4230.6.A or updated law. Please attach DD214 Form to your application. You are to attach your DD214 with your application or at the time of the examination, it will not be accepted after the exam.
