Substitutes cover teacher absences for classes in grades TK-12th at a charter school near Humphreys College and the Troke Library in north Stockton. Our teachers are required to leave detailed lesson plans, and our students are well behaved. Class sizes are small, usually around 20 with 25 being the maximum for core classes. The school day runs from 7:30 am - 4:00. Classes start at 8:30 am - 3:00 pm (TK-4th) and 8:30 am - 3:36 pm (5th -12th) with a 35 minute duty-free lunch period. Many of our substitutes have been invited to become full-time teachers based on their performance while subbing. We are seeking to re-establish our sub pool and get a look at new talent at the same time. Credential candidates are welcome to apply.
