About the Employer

The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. Requirements / Qualifications

NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION: • Completed online EDJOIN application (incomplete applications will not be accepted). • Current Resume. • One (1) Current (signed and dated within 3 years) Letter of Reference. • Copy of Associate Degree or higher -OR- transcripts verifying units from an accredited college or university (if applicable); -OR- copy of ESSA written test results (if applicable). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and submit all necessary materials prior to the stated deadline in order to qualify as a candidate. ***APPLICANT MUST MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS IN ORDER TO QUALIFY*** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • One (1) year experience transcribing Braille and print, preferably working with children. Verifiable, supervised experience as a volunteer in a school or related organizational activity may be substituted for the work experience on an equal time basis. • Ability to meet ESSA requirements; (Completion of an Associate Degree or higher -OR- completion of 72 quarter units or 48 semester units -OR- prior passage of the ESSA written test may be substituted in lieu of taking a written test administered by SBCSS.
