Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, plan, prepare, implement and evaluate new driver training and in-service programs; plan bus routes, schedules and stops; coordinate driver and bus assignments with transportation requirements; assign drivers and buses as necessary to coordinate regular and special education bus transportation, as well as extra curricular and activity trips to transport students.

FILING DEADLINE - OPEN UNTIL FILLED District Classified application, supplemental form and a copy of your Valid California Class B driver's license, School Bus Driver's Certificate, School Bus Driver Instructor's Card, T01 form and First Aid Certificate must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office by the filing deadline. SELECTION PROCEDURE: This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill a vacancy. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list. This position is full-time, 12 months per year. The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and/or performance examination and an oral technical interview. Testing may occur on a weekly basis. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years experience in the operation of a school bus with a safe driving record; one year in a transportation office with dispatcher experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Class B driver's license, School Bus Driver's Certificate, completion of a certified State Department of Education School Bus Driver Instructor's Course; maintain a safe driving record; valid First Aid certificate issued by an authorized agency. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District's standard rate during the term of employment.
