The Executive Assistant serves as assistant to a senior level manager of the District; independently performs highly responsible and complex administrative and staff duties relative to the business operations of the assigned unit; leads the work of assigned staff.

POSITION SPECIFICS: Supports Diversity, Inclusion and Development Department - 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103 Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 12 months per year Qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employees and eligible dependents This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list. For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).
Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education, experience, and/or training equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, communications or related field and three years of recent related experience in providing administrative support to an executive or administrator. Public school district experience is highly desirable. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license and availability of private vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
