Job Summary
Job Summary
Under supervision of the Director of Information Technology or designee, performs a variety of technical support, asset management and auditing, administrative and operations support duties supporting the Information Technology Department. Coordinates with other Information Technology Supervisors and Coordinators to organize, prioritize and provide technology support services that include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading computer workstations. Coordinates administrative projects within the Information Technology Department. Along with the other Information Technology Supervisors and Coordinators, coordinates work flow and support activities for the Information Technology department and often for programs involving other departments. Proof of Highest Level of Education . High School Diploma is Required . A Bachelor’s degree Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and . Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in the setup and repair of networked computer workstations, computer applications, online platforms, and advanced technical support or . A combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position. . Requires the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot networked computers. . Requires the ability to prepare spreadsheets, graphs and charts, and enter, import, and export data to and from databases. . Requires in-depth knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment, including filing systems, receptionist and telephone techniques, and letter and report writing. . Requires advanced working knowledge of personal computer based software programs that support this level of work, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, desktop publishing, special applications used by the organization unit, and data entry onto custom databases. . Requires skill at assisting computer users with troubleshooting of advanced problems associated with the use of software and equipment.
. Requires skill at facilitating small group training and problem-solving processes. . Requires sufficient math skills to perform financial and statistical record-keeping. . Requires sufficient knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence. . Requires sufficient human relations skills to work productively and cooperatively with diverse teams, exercise patience when dealing with internal and external customers, and convey technical concepts. . Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position. Must be able to learn, interpret, explain and apply knowledge of department organization, operations, special terminology used in the organization unit. . Requires the ability to prepare spreadsheets, graphs and charts, and enter, import, and export data to and from databases. . Requires the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in order to meet schedules and timelines. . Requires the ability to plan and conduct training of advanced computer use. . Requires the ability to communicate with faculty, students, staff, and the public using patience and courtesy, and in a manner that reflects positively on the organization unit. . The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis . Possession of a valid California driver's license
